Those are a few of the hats Pete Williams wears. He’s the author or co-author of a number of books, a longtime magazine and digital media writer, and an experienced television and radio journalist. He’s written about sports and sports business for years but these days focuses on his passions: performance, fitness, and endurance sports.
I recently attended a Florida State basketball game, purchasing a pair of tickets several hours before tipoff. I paid by credit card at the box office and was handed a pair of actual paper tickets that listed the date, venue, teams, and seat locations.
I received just one A+ final grade in college, which I’ll always remember since I earned few As and only a handful of A minuses.
When the decade began, few people were reading books on electronic devices. Smart phone penetration was minimal. It still was common to see people reading physical books rather than phones in public.
What makes a gym? Is it the size of the facility and the amenities offered? Is it the group fitness instructors and the demographics of the members? It is simply the price point and location?
